Kootenay Rocky Mountain Retreat

Nipika Mountain Resort is nestled in the Canadian Rockies, beside Kootenay National Park, and offers guests year-round recreation and leisure right out the front door of luxurious lodge and rocky mountain cabins.  Cross-country ski, mountain bike, hike or run on the endless trails right out the front door. Fish, canoe, kayak or raft the nearby Kootenay River. Or just sit on the porch and watch wildlife graze on the meadow.

Activities - Park your car and enjoy Nipika's spectacular setting on foot, biking or canoeing.  Online registration is available for guided activities, including paddling and birding tours, hiking tours, river rafting, snoeshowing, ski lessons and more. When it comes time to leave don't forget where you put those car keys!

Accommodations - Nipika is an environmentally friendly eco-lodge.  All cabins at our canadian rockies resort are luxuriously appointed with full kitchens, comfortable beds, and great chairs for curling up by the fire with a book.  The log cabins at our kootenay mountain accommodation are all hand built right on site from the surrounding forest of the rocky mountains. Much of the rustic furniture is also built from wood harvested, milled, and transformed into furniture right in the Nipika woodworking shop.  Nipika has one full wheelchair access cabin.
