Learn to ski from an Olympic coach and world class instructors,  relax in the sauna, and then enjoy a great meal & social activities.


This instructional cross country ski week is the perfect skiing holiday for the novice to advanced cross country skier. Great trails, expert coaching, fun & adventure make this an experience you will not forget. Nipika Ski Week includes accommodation for 5 nights, all meals, coaching in classic and skate skiing, theory sessions, personal technique video analysis, trail fees, social activities, waxes,  Participants are required to bring their own skis, boots, poles, (rental ski equipment is available on request), warm clothing and beverages of choice. Accommodations come with all linens, towels, toiletries, paper products, soaps, cleaning products, & gas BBQs are here waiting for you. Learn to ski from Olympic coaches and world class instructors, relax in the sauna, and then enjoy a great meal & social activities.



Arrival, check-in, dinner & welcome reception/orientation & ski videos in the Lodge.


Morning: Check out your equipment, and morning introductory classic ski session.

Afternoon: Instructional skate tour of trails.

Evening: Waxing & ski base preparation techniques


Morning: classic technique session.

Afternoon: Skate techniques, Evening: individual technique video reviews & World Cups, Olympics videos.


Morning: Interval session on skis.

Afternoon: Yoga Session in the Barn,  Evening; Fitness and Training principles for all ages &  Running With Wolves Movie.


Morning: Downhill techniques on skate skis.

Afternoon: Long slow distance classic ski. Optional Massage sessions after skiing, Evening social activities in the Lodge, or have a Sauna.


Morning: relaxing informal ski tour & checkout.


Lyle Wilson, past Olympic and World Championships Coach for Canada, Level IV NCCP & Level IV CANSI certified, past Canadian Masters Ski Champion & active ski racer. 2011 Masters World Cup – silver & bronze medalist.

Wendy Grater, Level IV CANSI & Natn. Technical Committee member, reigning National Masters Champion & past World Masters medalist & active ski racer.


Ski Instruction
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
5 nights at Nipika Lodge – family style, log cabin or main lodge, mostly double occupancy

• Personal clothing and gear – a recommended clothing & equipment list will be provided
• Travel between your home and Nipika
• Optional shuttle between Calgary Airport and Nipika – $125 each way

• Souvenirs, purchases of a personal nature, etc.
• Any additional expenses or costs incurred as a result of delays to the trip caused by factors beyond our control – i.e. weather, water levels, flight delays, etc.
