Nipika is set amid the Cross River Canyon Recreation Site, along the Kootenay and Cross River Valleys with scenic vistas, waterfalls, and beautiful forest. If you’re newer to hiking, want a gentler hike than the alpine offers, or simply want to explore the area around Nipika, this is the option for you!

Alpine Day Hikes
Nipika is in the heart of the Rockies with endless options for memorable day hikes. Depending on your comfort and fitness levels, our guides will choose a hike to suit your needs. No matter which hike you go on, expect a fun-filled day with dramatic views.

Daily Guided Activities – Winter
Cross Country Ski Lessons
Lessons, both classic and skate, take place on the professionally groomed, 50-km trail system. Nipika’s Ski School is directed by Lyle Wilson, an Olympic cross-country ski coach for Canada in two winter games. Instructors are CANSI-certified.
