20 Mar Horseback Rides
George Tegart, your guide, is steeped in the history of the Columbia Valley. (We even have a cabin named after the family.) He grew up in the valley and has taken numerous horses to the peaks that surround Nipika.
Our trail rides run Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from May to October. They are intimate, with a maximum of five riders.
The ride starts off with an introduction to your horse and some basic ground work to get you and your horse comfortable with each other.
Once you are on the horse this trip will take you around the Nipika trail system overlooking the Kootenay River. With endless mountain and forest views, you will cross fields of wildflowers and ride along beautiful cliffs.
There will be a number of stops to take pictures and learn some of the history of the area.
This is a perfect trip people with little to no riding experience. Advanced riders will also appreciate the scenery and terrain! Riding time depends on comfort of the participants. Day trips will begin at 10:00 am. Please arrive early to sign waivers.
We will consider requests for other days. Please contact the office at email@example.com.
Cost: $130.oo per person, plus tax
Multi-day trips are available upon requested.
This trip takes you to some of the furthest points of Nipika’s trail system and back. Expect endless mountain views, fun trails, wildflowers, and possibly wildlife. Hear stories from hunting expeditions of the past. You will get a number of rest stops as well as photo opportunities.
