Nipika operates in harmony with nature. We are completely off the grid, sourcing power from the sun and surrounding forest. All of Nipika’s electricity is generated with renewable, clean solar energy. And the majority of Nipika’s heating needs are satisfied by salvaging dead wood from the woodlot and burning it in a central boiler to provide hot water heating to the guest cabins and other buildings. Hot water is supplied using the same system.
It is Nipika’s goal for guests to enjoy Canada’s Rocky Mountains in non-consumptive ways: enjoy the spectacular setting using self-propelled activities.
Nestled in the heart of the Canadian wilderness, people from all over the world make the trek to visit. If you’re looking to experience the Canadian Rockies and prefer quiet to crowds, Nipika is for you. Wildlife, dark sky, activities year round, lessons. and tours—we’ve got it all.
Oh, and don’t forget unmatched beauty!
Nipika is proud to offer pet-friendly accommodations. With over 100km of trails and an open meadow, our furry friends will experience a vacation like no other!
Nipika has three furry companions who can be seen around the property most days. Pets are a part of the Nipika family, so bring everyone along when you visit!
Have a larger animal in mind? We have horse stables on site, so they are welcome. Nipika also offers Board n Bale holidays for horse owners looking for a spectacular place for a riding getaway.
When booking your accommodation, please let us know in advance if you’re bringing your best fur friend.
