Nipika Mountain Resort is surrounded by a magnificent trail network, the Cross River Canyon Recreation Site, spanning nearly 1,500 acres. The trails are operated by Nipika Mountain Resort in partnership with Recreation Sites and Trails BC.

Black Feather Wilderness Adventure Company is one of Nipika’s closest friends. It is our sister company and we run most of our adventure trips in partnership with them. Black Feather provides many other adventure travel holidays in the most outstanding wilderness destinations: canoe wild rivers, sea kayak the Canadian Arctic, and camp at Floe Edge.

Crazy Soles Running/Yoga Store, located in Invermere, is a community-minded business that provides high quality clothing, accessories and nutritional products for runners, cross-country skiers, and yogis (or people who just like comfortable and fashionable attire).

Crazy Soles hosts the Crazy Soles Nipika Trail Run with us in May. They also lead a weekly group trail run and take part in most athletic events in the community.

Columbia Valley Cycle and Ski is an Invermere-based shop specializing in bikes and skis of all kinds. They also carry plenty of accessories and have a large retail area for clothing. They are happy to help if you require bike maintenance or ski and snowboard tuneup or repair.

Nipika partners with Columbia Valley Cycle and Ski for both the Kootenay Krusher mountain bike race in May and the Cross River Ripper fat bike event in February.

Toby Creek Nordic Ski Club (TCNSC) provides healthy winter recreation opportunities for families in the Columbia Valley. They offer youth programs for kids 3-13, adult learn to ski programs, classic and skate ski clinics, as well as a Ski S’Kool program for elementary children. The Club maintains the Lake Windermere Whiteway and other groomed trails around the valley.

Nipika partners with TCNSC to host the loppet in January.

Talus

Talus Lodge is Nipika’s alpine neighbour, located in British Columbia and close to the Alberta border near Banff. This private mountain lodge offers accommodations in the summer and winter.

Enjoy alpine hiking, backcountry skiing, snowshoeing, and remote wilderness. The lodge is a hidden gem accessed by hiking or helicopter in summer and by ski or helicopter in winter.
